GMRC club

The Greater Midcontinent Railroad Company was founded in 1991. The HO scale model railroad layout occupies approximately 20 by 30 feet of the basement of the Garrett Historical Society Museum. The layout has about 7 scale miles of track, which typically takes 20 minutes
for a train to complete a run around. Prototypical operations are duplicated with the aid of a computerized system which controls the layout. There are currently 21 members who meet on Thursday nights to work on the layout, operate trains, and discuss model railroading and railfanning.

How to become a member of the Greater Midcontinent Railroad Company model railroad club:
Initiation fee:  $60
Monthly dues:  $10
For more information on the club, please contact John Mohre, President, at 219-925-3100
