And when the nations see that God does save, will they then graciously accept the faith? They will claim that it's insane. And they will then begin to rage. They will see the salvation of our God and fight against it with all they've got. For they love to think that they are all heroes. And they love to claim that they are all noble - as they impose their will with great force and uphold their rules with the sword. Yet, how can they be worthy of such great praise when there's no need for such great strength? What need is there for their evil weapons? What need is there for violence? Is this the only thing that there is to protect us from evil men? This is true if we assume that God Himself will not save you. Is this what they are trying to prove in order to justify their need to rule? They are so proud of their force of arms and their strength, but what are we to learn from this? Is death something to be feared? Is that why we should fear their threats? But why fear death unless what's afterwards is sheer torment? So is that the purpose of their threats - to teach that hell awaits us after death?
