And how would you know if reality continues as it has in the past if your spirit itself should cease to exist? If your spirit itself should cease to exist, then you could never perceive the proof of it. As far as you can ever know reality is all that you perceive in your soul. And to say that your spirit will cease to exist is to say that all of reality as you've come to know it will itself also come to an end. Has it ever been logical to reason that there can exist a premise without a conclusion? Can there be a cause without effect? Can there be a premise without a consequence? But if your perception will end when you meet your death, then you deny that there are ultimate consequences to the premise of your immediate experience. You have just presented a contradiction by concluding that there is no conclusion. And if the basis of your argument is that you cannot perceive the consequences, because death prevents you from seeing it, then you have just thrown out all reason, and you have disqualified your own opinion. When will you ever say, "I now no longer exist"? That would be ridiculous. For by speaking or even by thinking it, you would prove that you do exist.
