The Truth Is

All they care about
is the needs of the flesh.
All they want
  is all the fleeting pleasures
  that they can get.
They don't care about
  righteousness
or the knowledge
  that can save them
  from eternal punishment.

But they have sold themselves
  to a delusion.
And they honor a
  deception.
For if eternal life
  cannot be gained by men,
then they can only begin
  to rot instead.
And if God in heaven
  does not save them,
then there will only be
  disease and pain and torment.

Painful sores
  shall erupt on their flesh.
For this only agrees
  with what they expect.
For they reject the hope
  of obtaining heaven
in favor of honoring
  some evil man
because they are afraid that
  God will not save them
even if they should honor Him
  instead.

But should God look on them
  with pity or respect
if they in turn
  will not repent?
By their own words
  they will be condemned.
And according to their faith
will it be done unto them.
For if God will not even
  save someone
who has suffered for the cause
  of righteousness,
then God will neither pity them
when they cry out in torment.

They complain like those
  who are bleeding to death.
So blood is what they will get.
And they have forsaken
  all hope
  like those
  who are almost dead.
So they shall be plunged
  into utter darkness.

This is the proof
  that they are confused;
and this will be the proof
  that they are deluded:
They will brag of themselves
  as they pity themselves
while they draw ever closer
  to hell.
