However, some may wonder how something as complicated as a human being can be reduced to the status of a single proposition that's subject to the manipulations of logical deduction. Yet if logic at all is relevant to your life, then your life is a proposition that is either true or false. For logic only pertains to how propositions relate to one another. And logic is relevant to your life.

A proposition cannot be both true and false at the same time. And you cannot be both alive and dead at the same time. A proposition cannot be neither true nor false at any time. And you cannot be neither alive nor dead at any time. A proposition is either true or false. And you are either alive or dead. If a proposition is not true, then it is false. If you are not alive, then you are dead. If a proposition is not false, then it is true. If you are not dead, then you are alive. In this respect, then, your life is a representation of a proposition that is true. And if you live or die on the basis of whether a propositions is true or false, then your life is logically equivalent to that proposition.

So what statement does your life represent? On what statement do you base your life? All your words and deeds make a statement about the proposition on which you base your life. For your deeds are not governed by blind instinct but are determined by what you believe is true about life. So your deeds make a statement about what you believe is true.

But anyone can say any statement they wish just for the sake of debating it. This does not mean that you truly live by it. Sincerity is maintaining that a statement is true even if it means you may suffer or die for doing so. Only when you are sincerely committed to your beliefs does your life become logically equivalent to your statement of faith. For then you live or die on the basis of whether your faith is true or false.

If a statement is true, then even the contrary must prove that it is true. And if you are sincerely devoted to what is true, then even your death will cause you to live. And there will come a resurrection.
